The screenshot is captured but you don't have to open a photo editor and save it there. Instead, it will be automatically named as Screenshot.png, numbered in sequence, and saved to ‘Screenshots' folder in the ‘Pictures'. This is the default in-built picture library folder in Windows.
Note: Windows always takes a copy of the screenshot file in the clipboard. So, you can save this copy of the same screenshot with another name and edit it after pasting it in any photo editing tool you want.
